                   Advocacy Consultation
           
IEP & 504 Review/Consultation: Revise IEP's/504's in part of in whole.  Develop measurable goals & benchmarks.  Create detailed Parent Concerns for IEP documentation. Show parents how to interpret all aspects of this important documentation.

Team Meeting Representation:  Represent the parents and student to the Team regarding special needs concerns while advocating for services and providing input for solutions.  *Professional representation at a Team meeting is the most valuable and proactive solution to being an active participant rather than a spectator regarding your childs educational rights and needs.  

Parent Coaching
:  Provide strategies for parents to independently advocate for their child.  Coaching is designed to meet each clients individual needs.  Some strategies include learning specific regulatory rights, having a productive Team meeting, gain knowledge of request methods and monitoring of services, outplacement considerations, monitoring academic progress, positive & productive ways to interact with your Team. 

Evaluation Review: Clarify school and/or independent evaluation reports with parents.  Compare evaluation results to IEP and Progress Reports.  Help parents to understand the important details of all types of testing scores to measure adequate progress or lack of effective progress. * Understanding your childs evaluation scores are a key component to effectively advocating for your child

Case Development:  Compile current & past documentation to support requests for services or placement within the special education system. 
* Knowing what records to keep and what requests to make are key components to case development.

DOE Mediation:  Representing the student's case to a DOE mediator when resolution can not be achieved through due process within the school district.
